On August 12th, 2018 is the Curiosa Fair around the Castle of Wijchen. On this day we organise an open day in our museum garden De Tuun and museum can be visited at a reduced price.
Museum garden De Tuun is unique in the Netherlands. From the spring until the autumn visitors can wander in the garden and look at the agricultural plants that grew in the area from the Late Iron Age up to and including the Middle Ages. There is also a herb garden with plants from the same era arranged according to their uses – pot herbs, medicinal herbs, ritual plants and dye plants. On August 12th volunteers of the museum will we present in de museum garden for futher information if requested.
Museum and museum garden are open from 11.00 – 17.00 h.
On August 12th the museum garden can visited for free and the museum with 50% reduction*. Children upto 6 years, museum card and friends of the museum are free.
